With the high speed of design and construction nowadays, a large number of buildings blossom everywhere. The appearance of city has been defined rapidly. So we can hardly have many chances to be busy at putting up installations. At the same time, we still have lots of problems related to material space in our cities. The concept ‘micro renovation’ must be taken into consideration to solve these problems.
I choose the elevator shaft and the roof of high rise residential building as the target to be reformed. Attachment structure with good adaptability can be added to the community to provide some supporting functions which would activate the use of roof space.
The small-dimension construction with good adaptability explores the possibility that whether parasite constructions have the potential to extend public space in our urban life.
