In this project, a daylight gallery and supportive programs are invited into Legion of Honor Museum. In order to create a dialog between old and new. The massing of addition follows the proportion of wings of original museum, while new materials are applied to the addition. In order to frame the golden gate bridge, the shape of new gallery is slightly curvedand create unique exhibition space. DIVA for Rhino was used in this project for lighting simulation.
